Weano Descent

This tour is a very advanced day of canyoning and is limited to a maximum 5 participants engaging 2 Senior Guides and an assistant guide.

It is suitable for returning guests who have experienced our tours previously and have demonstrated their fitness and ability levels. Alternatively, if you have relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience that can be verified, please let us know and we can assess suitability on a case by case basis.

Entering Weano Gorge passing through the iconic Handrail Pool, we continue on reaching the Class 6 section. Here we traverse using ropes around the spectacular Jade Pool.

Just after leaving Jade Pool we enter the amphitheatre just before Weano waterfalls where we stop for morning tea and prepare ourselves for the Weano Descent.

Traversing out along the entry of the Weano waterfall is not for the faint of heart with us being almost 50 meters above the ground. We now abseil 40+ meters down Weano Falls!! Yes we get wet in the waterfall and the ride is slippery and exhilarating. We have some lunch at the very bottom of the gorge and watch our fellow canyoners scramble down. We then horseshoe to the "Centre of the Earth" through Junction Pool.

We make our way up through Hancock Gorge and begin our ascent by climbing up The Chute onwards to Regan's Pool. A vertical climb allows us to traverse via rope to Kermit's Pool, the Spider Walk & exiting at Weano Day Use area. We then travel back to our HQ for some story telling on how we abseiled the largest waterfall in Karijini.

Morning briefing commences at 7.20 am & the day concludes at approximately 5.30 pm.

Please note that the minimum age to participate in this tour is strictly 14 years.
